Joe Nahas And Jamie Durie Work Together To Give Georges River A New Look

Coronation Property’s Managing Director Joseph Nahas said that Jamie Durie has been selected to design The George River banks, the area where The Paper Mill project is situated. The Paper Mill project is a residential development that seeks to offer Liverpool with a modern approach to living and urban life on the Georges River’s banks. The development will feature 1,045 apartments across several buildings. These contemporary residences are going to provide a vibrant and welcoming community for the families of Liverpool who are of different demography. The project will also become a true “river city” that is only a few minutes away from Badgery’s Creek’s airport.

The Liverpool City Council has been tasked to design the boardwalk along the river bank. This was part of the Georges River landscape proposal. This pathway will encourage the locals and visitors to access the river’s waterside activity. Both sides of the boardwalk will also be planted with native plant species to rejuvenate the landscape and to improve native floral and aquatic life in the area as well as promote stability to the river bank and lessen the possibility of erosion.

Coronation Property will also finance the landscaping project, which is worth $6.5 million. There is no need for the local and the state government to spend any cash. The boardwalk that Urban Design, SJB has created for the whole The Paper Mill precinct will connect the riverside to the Liverpool Railway Station through a shared community pathway. Meanwhile, the design for the precinct down to the connection of the boardwalk will be created by Jamie Durie. This will include the development of a children’s playground, relandscaping the North’s Light Horse Park, and the South’s The Mill Park. In addition, the site plan aims to connect The Paper Mill buildings and boardwalk precinct.

Coronation Property’s Joe Nahas also aims to provide The Paper Mill community with a link between an indoor and outdoor lifestyle that residents will love. The Paper Mill will be home to about 3,000 residents and all of them will have access to the river. They will also have the chance to enjoy the many river activities either on or beside the water. Coronation Property also wants the project to be the catalyst for the revitalization of Liverpool and aid reorient the residents towards the river.

The company also wants to transform the Liverpool into a true “river city” and it is extremely proud to be the sole financial backer of the section’s transformation. Coronation Property believes that this great project will be the first step in reviving the western-Sydney’s mindset into taking advantage of its river asset. The company realized that this project is a great opportunity for the private sector to give back to the community through this amazing amenity and smart public domain.

In an interview with Jamie Durie, he said that his company, which is an international landscape and architecture and design firm, has been awarded the landscape masterplan tender. Durie’s firm has worked on various international projects in different parts of the globe like the Victorian Arts Centre precinct, Westmead Children’s Hospital, Sheraton Salobre Golf and Spa Resort and Hayman Island Resort. Durie firmly believes that Coronation Property’s project is a wonderful idea as it would open up the foreshore. It will give the public access to Georges River, an opportunity to marvel at its natural beauty. He also supported the company’s move to better utilize the river because it is an attractive feature of Liverpool.
